Guitar Teaching Jobs in St Albans 

Contract Type: Part Time Cover Work 

 

Fee: £20-30 Per Hour (depending on experience and qualifications) 

Inspire Music School is looking experienced guitar teacher to join our team to help contribute to our growing guitar classes. This is the ideal opportunity for any guitar teachers who are looking for a reliable source of income, being part of an exciting school that is growing and developing their teaching expertise. This is primarily a teaching position however there is lots of room to grow your role into other career aspects within our school also should the teachers wish.

 

The role 

 

We are looking for someone to cover group classes that are held on both weekdays and weekends as and when needed. Classes  are grouped according to age and ability and full lesson plans will be provided which means there will be less prep needed outside of work and the candidate can just focus on teaching. These classes are carried out via zoom and in our Studio in London Colney so there is no need to travel to various locations as everything is done here! 

 

A successful candidate:

 

Must

• Have experience teaching guitar.

• Be over 21

• Be comfortable teaching classes of up to 5 people.

• Be willing to teach all ages between 5yrs-Adults

• Work well as part of a team. 

• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.

• Be passionate about the success of our students and be happy to bring their best efforts to each class.

• Be humble. 

• Be a team player.

• Own transport.

• Be able to demonstrate professionalism at all times.

• Have the right to work and reside permanently in the UK.

• Be flexible in their approach to work.

 

Would ideally: 

 

• Have worked in a customer facing role before.

• Have a music degree (or equivalent).

• Have previous experience in teaching group classes. 

• Have some experience in playing more than one instrument. 

• Have worked in a leadership/management role.

• Have experience teaching RGT/ABRSM/Rockschool Grades

 

Full training in our lesson formats will be provided to set the successful candidate up to win in their teaching. All you need to do is bring your best to the table and execute the provided lesson plans! We are also open at various points throughout the Summer so whereas most schools close, we are open which again will provide teachers with a stable income during those summer months.
